Accountability is typically linked with the elements of good financial management practices such as governance, audit, assurance and reporting. In order to achieve good accountability practices different financial management tools and processes are needed based on specific characteristics of each organization. Companies and organizations that practice good governance and financial management will safeguard the interests of all stakeholders. Fraud and manipulation of accounts and reporting can be reduced or eliminated.
