Dr Azrul Hafiz completed his dental degree from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2004 and then spent three years working with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia in various departments. He joins Islamic Sciences University of Malaysia in 2007 and went on to specialize in orthodontics in Newcastle, United Kingdom in 2008. He gains his Master in Sciences (Orthodontics) in University of Newcastle upon Tyne and also the Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth Edin) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2011.

Currently, he works as a senior lecturer and orthodontist in Orthodontics Specialist Clinic, USIM. He is also a member of Malaysian Association of Orthodontist and UKM dental alumni member.
