This book was written by the lecturers of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), the Faculty of Law and Shariah (FSU), and the final-year medical students of the FPSK, USIM. The cases in this book were presented and discussed during the final year’s Fiqh and Ethics placement. This book is inspired by and fulfils the university’s vision to integrate information on aqli (i.e., medicine and law) with naqli sources derived from the Qur’an and hadith. The cases illustrate some of the most prevalent contemporary medical issues in the present day.
