This book analyses the Hindu philosophical school of Advaita Vedanta from Islamic perspective. The Advaita Vedanta includes non-dualistic ideas such as the manifestation of God, soul and consciousness of existence that create contradictions and confusions in the basics and principles of Islam as they are presented in the name of Islam and Sufism in the Western and Muslim worlds such as International Sufi Order established by Inayat Khan in 1920. This book seeks to address a number of issues linked to the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta in Hinduism, including its significance, definition and features. It attempts to assert that the philosophical thoughts of Advaita Vedanta contradict Islamic fundamentals. Although there are divergences within Advaita Vedanta, the main concepts found in almost all versions are about the Cosmos as a comprehensive unity and the sacredness of nature representing God. This belief has no place in Islam and is completely opposite to the concept of tawhīid. Through this book the readers, especially the academicians and students of Comparative Religion and Philosophy will learn several concrete tips to differentiate the Hindu philosophy of Advaita Vedanta from the fundamentals and basics of Islam such as ‘Aqidah, tawhīid, Shari’ah, ‘Ibadah and tasawwuf.
